Class IV Laser Therapy

Advanced, non-invasive laser therapy for fungal toenails, musculoskeletal conditions, and neuropathic symptoms.

Laser Treatment for Fungal Toenails

Class IV laser therapy can be used as part of the treatment of fungal toenails (onychomycosis). Controlled laser energy is directed through the nail plate toward the affected nail and nail bed, while healthier-appearing nail grows forward over time.

How Fungal Nail Laser Treatment Works

Laser energy is delivered through the nail without removing it. Treatment is performed in the office and does not require an incision. Because toenails grow slowly, improvement is gradual and is assessed by the appearance of new nail growth rather than an immediate change in the existing damaged nail. Multiple sessions may be recommended.

A Comprehensive Fungal Nail Strategy

Fungal toenails can be persistent and can recur. When appropriate, laser therapy may be combined with treatment of athlete’s foot, shoe and sock hygiene, topical medication, oral antifungal medication, and strategies intended to reduce reinfection.

Musculoskeletal Conditions

Class IV laser therapy can also be incorporated into the treatment of selected tendon problems, plantar heel pain, sprains, soft-tissue injuries, and chronic overuse conditions. Therapeutic light energy is delivered to targeted tissues to support cellular activity, circulation, pain reduction, and the body’s normal recovery processes.

Neuropathy

Laser therapy may also be incorporated into care for selected patients experiencing neuropathic symptoms. Treatment is directed toward helping reduce discomfort and supporting local tissue function as part of an individualized approach to the underlying condition.
